Times To Celebrate
Over the cycle of the year, there are times to celebrate and reconnect with nature and yourself. These times have been observed as special occasions from the first recorded times. Monuments have been erected to help people to recognize when they happen and celebrate these times. These were considered special occasions and created in order for people to survive and thrive, by understanding when to plant and when to harvest their food according to the seasons.
Some of the most well known of the ancient monuments that mark turning points in the seasons are Stonehenge (England), Machu Picchu (Peru), Chichen Itza (Mexico), Chaco Canyon (New Mexico, USA), Newgrange (Ireland), The Great Sphinx and Pyramid of Khafre (Egypt). As you can see these famous monuments are scattered across the earth.
Taking the time to realign yourself with nature and become more in tune with the natural cycles is an important part of personal progression. In our modern rushed society, many people have forgotten just how important these things are. These times are always a celebration where you are asked to take a step back from the modern world and reconnect with who you are, where you are in life and where you would like to go.
This will be a growing list that I will put together as the cycles allow. As I am in the Southern Hemisphere the dates will correspond with that. However, the meaning and ways to celebrate will suit the time in either Hemisphere. Enjoy and please share how you celebrate these times in the comments below.
